So you’re thinking of taking the Registered Behavior Technician Training Program but you’re not sure if it’s the right one for you. Should you take an in class program or online program? This program or another program from another site? What’s the difference between the courses?
The main difference is the course instructor really. Their experiences, way of teaching and examples they provide. The information is the same. You’ll be learning the items found on the RBT task list which you can find on the BACB site https://bacb.com/rbt-task-list.
Why choose us then? Well, for over 12 years Chaza Attar, the founder and program director, has been working with young children diagnosed with autism. The challenges she faced during her own learning experiences pushed her to want to help others. She designed a hands-on training program and helped lots of students go from being a university graduate with no career path to loving the field in Verbal Behavior and improving the lives of young children.
In 2011, Chaza open her first centre in Woodbridge, Ontario (attkids.ca) and it was then she found a love for training others. Sharing stories, successes and hopes and dreams for the field.
In the RBT Training program, you’ll get a chance to learn about the struggles as a therapist and ways to overcome them, the teaching practices and ways to help your students. Think of one of your current learners, you teach them to label colours but when shown in discrimination they answer incorrectly, what do you do? How do you correct that?

The RBT has been one of the most beneficial courses I’ve ever taken – specifically the one from Autism Therapy and Training, BCBA Chaza Attar. An excellent and extremely informative course. A huge amount of information has been shared, broken up well into the different sections, with a quiz at the end of each. Whenever any problems came up, (generally due to my old laptop!), Chaza was very quick to answer any questions I had.

Excellent Course Content! Highly Recommended!
The course content was detailed and thorough. The instructor provided an excellent explanation of the fundamental behavioural analytic procedures and principles. She used various video models and real-life examples to make the terms easy to comprehend. The course also included “In Practice” sections to link theory to the everyday application that helps new therapists to the field see what it looks like in reality. Additionally, the BCBA provided a “Competency-Assessment” component at the end of each topic to explain how the RBT applicants will be assessed during their competency assessment. I highly recommend this training course to new therapists in the field who are looking to complete their 40 hours of training but also learn about the application in practice.!
